WOW! Where did September and October go? It's been an incredibly busy time for all divisions of Hospitality Services. We experienced record sales in many locations, expanded concepts, hosted prestigious catered events, and continued our commitment to leaving a lighter footprint; all while maintaining strong food safety practices and providing our guests with the best experience that we can.

I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate you on the tremendous sense of teamwork exhibited by all throughout our various challenges over the past few months. Kudos to all of you - your efforts are greatly appreciated. In recognition of all your hard work, we will be celebrating our fall Staff Appreciation Week, the week of Nov. 26th - Dec. 2nd. Hope you enjoy your complimentary meals - and good luck with the daily draws!

Lots of important dates coming up! Sunday, November 12th is a biggy - it's Fall Preview Day here. This is the day when thousands of potential students and their families visit Western and have a chance to meet with members of our community, and learn why Western offers the best student experience among Canadian universities. I know I can count on you to represent Hospitality Services well.

Lots of holiday events coming up, so be sure to check the Staff Events section of our site. It's always great to see you and your family at these events!

Hard to imagine but exams and the holidays are just around the corner. Stay focused - and healthy. And please remember to visit the EMPLOYEE branch of the Hospitality Services website often. Here you can access information related to our business as well as relevant news, job postings and upcoming events - all ONLINE! We will continue to enhance and expand this communication tool to help keep you in the loop and provide you with the information you need.
