9 Week Program

  • Week of October 5th - Week of December 7th, 2015
  • $15 per participant
  • Registration ends on Sunday, October 4th, 2015

Guidelines

  • Anne Zok, Nutrition Manager - Hospitality Services, will take staff weights on Week 1 and Week 9 of the challenge.
  • Weigh stations will be established where participants can independently weigh themselves and submit their weight to Anne by phone (519 661-3855) or email (azok@housing.uwo.ca)
  • Anne will make herself available for questions or short counseling sessions, upon request.
  • Updates and communication will be provided throughout the challenge which may include participant names. If you would prefer to remain anonymous, please select and register with, an "alias" name which will be used in place of your name throughout the challenge.
  • Although one might argue that healthy people do indeed come in various shapes and sizes, weight is considered a determinant of health. Being over-weight increases ones risk of developing various conditions including: Diabetes, heart and stroke, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, gallbladder disease, some cancers, etc.).
  • A weight loss strategy/challenge is not right for everyone. If you feel participating in this challenge may impose additional stress in your life, please refrain from joining.
  • Limited to a maximum of 50 participants

Prize

  • Weight loss & improved health!
  • Plus... the top three participants with the greatest % of weight loss at the end of the 9 week campaign, will win a portion of the pooled registration fees.
  • Additional consolation prizes, sponsored by Hospitality Services, will also be awarded to select participants.
